Sungsoo Rhim is a Ph.D. student in the George
W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia
Institute of Technology. He studies under the supervisory of Prof.
Wayne J. Book conducting control of flexible robots research in the Intelligent
Machine Dynamics Laboratory (IMDL) located within the Manufacturing
Research Center at Georgia Tech. He received his B.S. & M.S. degrees
in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National
University (SNU) in Seoul, Korea. In his M.S. program, he studied on
Vehicle Dynamics, especially ride quality improvement and steering stability
of passenger cars by designing the passive suspension in Machine
Dynamics Laboratory at SNU. He is interested in the control of robots
with flexure, system dynamics, vibration, system identification,
and application of digital signal processing to the control.
