Ho Ching

Georgia Tech Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student

I am a graduate student at Georgia Tech working towards a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering. My advisor professor is Dr. Wayne Book who is in charge of the Intelligent Machine Dynamics Laboratory, better known as the IMDL.  My research focuses on bilateral teleoperation via the Internet where transmission delay is significant to cause closed-loop instability.  I am currently at the final stages of my thesis in preparation for my thesis defense.

Previous to coming to Georgia Tech I have been living in several places. I was born in Shanghai, and then move to Hong Kong. I was in Nigeria during my years in elementary school and junior high. I went to an American school in England for my high school. Then I went to Cornell University where I received my B.S. and Master's in mechanical engineering.
